Which Operating Principle did this team embody? We include and excel together

This HR team had a 2-day notice to gather hundreds of data items regarding employee location for certain union represented titles. They had to do this among their regular work demands. It was an all hands on deck approach. I am proud to state that they DID IT! They were able to track down all the necessary information and complete the required assignment. A huge THANK YOU to the team for making this happen. I appreciate all the time you each had to put into this effort.

Which Operating Principle did this team embody? We are accountable to each other

The Shipping and Receiving team is ALWAYS willing to assist any function or event we hold in ERSO. They offer their assistance in a supportive, positive and friendly manner. We are so grateful for everything they do for us. The Swag day event would not have run as smoothly if it were not for this team. They transferred boxes everywhere we asked, set-up and took down tables, dumped garbage in dumpsters and the list goes on. They are most deserving of a team high five. THANK YOU!!

Which Operating Principle did this team embody? We include and excel together

This team worked diligently to hire over 2,200 ASE's and GSR's prior to the August payroll deadline. They consistently operated at a high level, onboarding and processing student appointments for Fall 2022. In addition, they worked together to cover workloads while their teammates took time off. This has resulted in a high percentage of students being paid on time which benefits the students and the ERSO Payroll team. They could not have achieved such a high volume without working together as a team, being efficient and putting 100% effort into their work consistently. In addition, they maintain a high level of customer service while managing the demands. I am SO proud of this team and grateful for them!

Which Operating Principle did this team embody? We imagine and innovate

I would like to nominate Derek, Amy, Michelle, and Marlene for putting together an innovative training which everyone loved and is still yielding benefits. The interactivity of having breakout sessions of teams, and how they worked together to answer hypotheticals was excellent!

Which Operating Principle did this team embody? We focus on services

After finding out that there is a hard stop in UCPath for approving direct retros (DRs), our ERSO Payroll team has doubled/tripled/quadrupled down on their efforts to approve them within a day or two of submission. I am so grateful for all their hard work - especially this year at fiscal year close when everything was more crazy - in getting all the DRs reviewed and approved. Working in UCPath is not as seamless as we initially thought, but they have showed resilience and have focused on getting these taken care of in a timely manner. We are so lucky to have a team so dedicated to providing great service to our region and its customers. Thank you, everyone!

Which Operating Principle did this team embody? We focus on services

I cannot adequately express my gratitude to the HR team. With our HR/AP staff member out in Statistics super close to July 1st, I was heavily asking for not just help, but big favors from the team at the last minute. I was super impressed with how quickly and efficiently everyone handled the requests (when they really didn't have to - I was late in asking for these actions). I was also really grateful how they were emailing me to let me know they handled it and were so professional and kind. I really feel like many of the team went above and beyond and I can't thank them enough. Since this was the first time I really worked directly submitting things to the HR team I wanted them all to know how impressed I was with ERSO HR. Thank you!!

Which Operating Principle did this team embody? We include and excel together

The RA Supervisor team is most deserving of the Team High Five award. They worked diligently to onboard new RAs who transitioned from MPS. Overnight their teams grew in size and they took on the challenge with thoroughness and care. They worked hard to fully understand the transition while being supportive of each individual moving into their team. They welcomed each new employee to the team and ensured that they felt welcomed. This team of front line supervisors serves an important role in ERSO as they are the most direct contact that our new employees have of the ERSO organization. We are very well represented by this team and they deserve this award!

Which Operating Principle did this team embody? We focus on services

There was a confidential matter that happen in our department that involved UCPD. Joel and Eboni were readily available not only for me as the department HR Coordinator but for all parties involved which include the Supervisor who is a faculty member of our department. They provide UCPD with the necessary documents and ensure all question were answers clearing up any confusion. Thank you Joel and Eboni for all your hard work!

I want to Thank the entire Student Hiring Team and Payroll. Also extra big Thank You to Gina Banton. The Stat has unfortunately had to work been hit with some grievances for Fall 2021 . As a result of the grievances about 10 + ASE records and pay needed to be corrected in the system. The Student Service team help get them all correct and I really appreciate everyone help and patience. Glad to have a team I can depend on!

Which Operating Principle did this team embody? We simplify

Amy and Angela were a part of the Feb2022 RAC Forum. They worked really closely with Angela Ford, Angela Martinez, Paul Martinez, Thanh Nguyen (SPO), Raymond Fong (ProS), Lynne Coulson, and Katie Hudson (CGA) to present a comprehensive presentation on "Working with the State of CA." They collaborated with partners across campus, developed a compelling presentation, and presented to the RAC community. They showed knowledge in the topic area and presented with confidence and deftness. They discussed tips/tricks and ways to simplify working with the State of CA. They are such powerhouses when working with CEC that I cannot thank them enough for presenting and sharing their knowledge and expertise in this area. ERSO is very lucky to have them as subject matter experts and trainers!

Names of People on the Team: Veronika Blair and Natalie Chen
Team Unit: Research
Which Operating Principle did this team embody? We simplify

Veronika and Natalie have been working on a BearBUY training specifically for the ERSO RAs for a very LONG time. Due to the constant updates and changes to the systems as well as soliciting questions and feedback from other RAs on what should be covered, they had to keep making updates to the material and screenshots to ensure the most up-to-date information was presented. They gave tips and tricks, best practices, and provided the slides to simplify how ERSO RAs interact in a system that we're not as familiar with. They were concise, thorough, and incredibly helpful. Having the slides and recording posted to the Hub will be beneficial for all of us as a tool to use going forward and allow us to all be more efficient and knowledgeable in our jobs. Thanks to you both!
